Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow: Cult.

Urban Decay matte eyeshadow in Cult has what is most likely the best packaging I have ever seen an eyeshadow come in: an old-fashioned token for what I assume is a ride at the fare. I can't help but daydream of myself in fifties garb atop a ferris wheel as Ryan Gosling woos me (in his odd way). In this fancy my hair is in pin curls and my frock is the exact purple-grey of this eyeshadow, and it is beautiful.

As is to be expected with Urban Decay eyeshadows, this is gorgeous; smooth, buttery, pigmented, an all-rounder. Compared to other formulations, such as satins, matte eyeshadows are notoriously a bit more painful to blend, however this is not the case with this one. I can't gush enough.

I find the colour to be extremely unique and surprisingly flattering. The purple is understated, cooled with grey tones, yet still pulls the green of my hazel eyes. I've also been pleased with this colour when I smudge it on my lower lashline, as unlike my normal browns, the purple makes the whites of my eyes appear brighter.

*Disclaimer: Please note that I did not pay for this product; it is another one of my spoils from winning Stacey's (Add to Cart) giveaway. Not that I'm gloating or anything.

  1. That's a pretty unique colour, I don't think I own anything like it myself! Your little fantasy about the fair made me just think of the carnival they have on Vampire Diaries, haha :)
