Goodbye for now PEARL 419, PEARL 452, PEARL 405 and PEARL 407. You're all being demoted to a Z-palette.
There are countless youtube videos and blogposts on how to remove the Inglot eyeshadow pans from the palette. Each and everyone of them detailing how to use the magnets on the edge of the lid on their new palette. Unfortunately, once given time to fuse, the magnets on which the pans sit are stronger than the magnets on the lid and this method no longer works.
As you can see, I'd already damaged quite a few of the shadows in previous depotting attempts with knives.
This time, I successfully removed the Inglot shadows from their pans without damage by hovering a strong magnet over the edge of the eyeshadow I wanted to take out. In this case, I used the magnet on the back of my boyfriend's name-badge. It snapped out immediately without damaging the eyeshadow.

Oh yes I do find the magnetic lid does seem to lose power with the middle of the palette. Good idea. BTW I think Pearl 407 - pinky color is absolutely divine!

DeleteI love this concept but I have always just walked past the Inglot stands. Maybe next time I will have to stop by X
ReplyDeleteGo in and swatch some shadows! They're lovely. x
DeleteGreat idea! Many Inglot shadows have suffered under my depotting hand...

Haha, same! If only I'd thought to use a magnet earlier! x
DeleteYES THANK YOU. The magnet on the lid NEVER worked for me, but my nametag did! Thank you so much, this helped.
