A'kin Cellular Radiance Serum.

Long gone are the days of meat and three veg. I for one am happy to wave goodbye to loin chops and broiled string beans and overcooked carrots and  lumpy mash. We've welcomed ancient African grains, Amazonian berries and organic-soaked-overnight-lentils with open arms (for the most part, spirulina can stay the hell away from me). 

When it comes to skincare, the same story is being told. Goodbye gel cleansers, hello cold-pressed organic oil and tanaka massages. Adios alcohol laden toners, hola herbal spritzes. Ciao Oil of Olay, (erm) ciao superfood serums.

This is all well and good but honestly, I'm not sure what the benefit is in applying antioxidants topically to the skin. So I don't question it and anticipate to reap the benefits. I am no scientist or dermatologist, but to me that looks like a wonderful cocktail of skin-loving (erm) things.

This high potency, A'kin dual action serum is the ultimate beauty enhancing product for those who want vibrant, glowing, healthy looking youthful skin. This unique serum contains a very powerful combination of 6 pure, extremely rich certified organic anti-ageing extracts. All are extracted by the latest supercritical CO2 method. This process uses extremely low temperatures allowing the optimum benefits from the fragile plant ingredients to be maintained.

My lovely Mum kindly offered herself as a guinea pig and trialed this serum for me as potent serums are more geared toward her type of skin than mine. For reference, she has very sensitive, combination skin with a strong anti-aging focus. 

Although she has lovely skin, she is not a known skincare user - aside from a light moisturiser with SPF in the morning, a night cream and eye cream in the evening - so I believe she found this serum to be a welcome added step to her minimal regime. I for one am certainly happy to see her take a little more time to pamper herself, however small.

After a few months of applying 4-5 drops to her face pre-moisturiser in the evenings, her skin is noticeably smoother and plumper. She looks more refreshed, and every time I see her she makes me feel her cheeks for their softness. My Mum is adorable.

It's worth mentioning she is prone to breakouts and allergic reactions to products, and we're both happy to report she has experienced neither with A'kin Cellular Radiance Serum.

As the tiniest amount is required with each use, when she eventually gets through all 23ml, I'm certain she will repurchase and continue to use this serum.
