How much does my 'no makeup' face cost?

Effortless and polished is how I like my weekend face. Here's what I tend to use.

Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation $32
Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer $24
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural $47
Illamasqua powder blush in Lover $28
Australis TLC mascara $14.95
Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Fruitti $21.95

Total: A$167.90

I am gobsmacked. I honestly considered this to be a budget-friendly look as it's predominantly composed of brands I can pick up at my local Priceline.

I am extremely apprehensive to see how much my everyday face costs let alone my special occasion slap.

  1. It's not your fault. The price of drugstore makeup in Australia is insanely exorbitant.

    1. This x 100.
I wonder how much it would cost if we paid what the rest of the world did.

  4. Eh, blame it on exorbitant Australian retail prices! I have been wondering more and more about Healthy Mix and how it compares with the serum. Might have to try the original one day :) I want to see you do your everyday face and your special face :D

  5. That's what Australian prices will get you. :( I'm sure the cost will be half that in the US! Definitely don't want to know how much my everyday face is :x

    1. Yeah, Priceline is still pretty expensive if you compare it to how much everything goes for in America. :/

  6. well yeah its expensive but those products last you for how long? If you work out how long they last you might find it a lot less scary!

  8. Wow!! Can't believe the prices down under!!! I paid $7 for that concealer and $8 for a lip butter...I think your face is reasonably priced considering how inflated your prices are !
