Perfume Haul.

After posting my perfume collection recently, I have gone on a bit of an olfactory bender. New aqcuisitions include:
Narcisco Rodriguez for Her Musc Eau de Parfum Intense
A sucker punch of musk with a hint of ylang-ylang.
Elie Saab Parfum Eau de Toilette
This citrusy white floral is a departure from my gourmand/amber sensibilities.
Prada L'eau Abree
Amber (be prepared for this theme) with a punch of citrus and patch.
Hilary Duff With Love
Woody, ambery, mango fruit with spices. Very unlike other celebrity scents.
Pierre Balmain Ambre Gris
Spicy amber, more benzoin than sweet. This smells like a soft a heather grey throw blanket in a bottle.
Jessica Simpson Fancy
A small child in a high chair squelching their tinned apricots in sucrose syrup and melted vanilla ice cream between their tiny, chubby digits. I really love this for a celebrity 'fume.
Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille
Fucking delicious.

  1. LOL at your description of Un Bois Vanille. So apt.

  2. The Hilary Duff scent is a really underrated one. I used to wear it a few years ago and you're right, it doesn't really smell like anything else.
I have a soft spot for the Jessica Simpsons too.

  3. LOL!

I remember when With Love first came out, I was so into it! I still have my bottle from years back. The part around the hole and the cap has kind of peeled off paint-wise (gross I know), but the juice inside's still good. I have a small sample vial of Fancy, should revisit after this post :p

  5. Oh lord, do you remember the terrible promotional advert for With Love? So of its time.

  7. I like the Elie Saab one, it's very wearable :D And I would love to try Ambre Gris, as I like the bottle and everything with amber in it :D

  8. Your perfume descriptions are amazing as well as hungry-fying! I'm finding myself torn between wanting to eat apricot compote or rushing out to sniff a few of the above ;)
