From Scratch.

A while back, Anissa posted about starting her stash from scratch. The idea tickled me, so here is a comprehensive list of what I would have in my streamlined stash.

Face

I'd do away with primer, which I feel to be a superfluous step. Although I don't currently own a bottle, Nars Sheer Glow still reigns supreme as the best foundation of the many I've tried. I'd stick with Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light

I feel my quality of life would be diminished if I could only use one blush, hence choosing two. These would be The Balm Frat Boy and Benefit Dallas. I don't screw around with bronzers, but I would want The Balm Mary Lou Manizer to highlight my face on the regular.

Eyes

I have no preference for mascara other than limiting it to one at a time, however if pressed I'd concede to continue my Benefit They're Real sample size (due to my being a tightarse) rut. The love affair with Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner would continue, as would the long term relationship with Inglot 402 Pearl (seriously, I could easily live monogamously with this eyeshadow for the rest of my days). I'd definitely replace my Shu Uemura lash curlers, MAC Painterly Paint Pot is almost a given as is Anastasia Brow Gel.

Lips

I would struggle with restricting in the lip department. If I had to choose one from each category, Nuxe Reve de Miel is my balm/treatment of choice. Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart Valentine and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp would return to my handbag quick smart. As for lipstick, it took me less than a millisecond to know in my bones Revlon Strawberry Suede is the one.

  1. This is really fun! The Balm Stain in Sweetheart would probably make it in my streamlined stash, too.

  2. I second the Maybelline concealer and the Hourglass Ambient powder! I love those two products so much!

  3. Erm so much food for thought! My quality of life would be reduced if I only had one eyeshadow!

  4. I'm going to need to more closely look into Inglot eyeshadows - especially 402! I agree with NARS Sheer Glow - it's the only foundation I've seriously considered repurchasing when mine has run out. And Strawberry Suede is one amazing lipstick :)

  5. You definitely need to check 402 out - from following (stalking) your blog for a long time - I know we have similar eyeshadow sensibilities. (:

  6. I think mine would improve. No guilt for allowing the copious other taupes gather dust as I go misty eyed over Inglot P402. (;

  8. I thought it would be hard but when I had them all in front of me, my hand moved to them instinctively. (:
